Cathryne has specific interests in the treatment of anxiety, depression, social difficulties, anger and managing oppositional/ defiant behaviour, and parenting support. Much of her work is with neurodivergent children and families. Cathryne endeavours to work in a neurodiversity affirming manner, understanding that environments and systems can be a primary source of disability.
Cathryne provides three types of therapy services at the Brighton clinic.
High School Students
Cathryne offers therapy services for high school students for a range of concerns, including anxiety, school avoidance, OCD, low mood and depression, friendship difficulties, identity difficulties and family conflict. She also offers services to adolescents with autism, ADHD, mild intellectual impairment, and other forms of neurodiversity focused on self-understanding, self-advocacy and skill development.
Appointments are offered on Monday and Tuesdays at 2 pm, 3:15 pm or 4:30 pm.
Understanding Your Assessment Results
Cathryne offers time-limited appointments series for children and adolescents wanting to understand the results of their assessment in a practical way and be guided through trialling and implementing assessment recommendations.

Parent Coaching and Parenting Support for Primary Aged Children
Cathryne offers parenting coaching and support for parents, grandparents and other caregivers who are looking for better understanding of the challenges their children/ grandchildren. She focuses on understanding how your child’s neurotype interacts with their social and physical environment, and supporting you to advocate for your child and to scaffold their skill development.
Appointments are offered on Monday and Tuesdays in school hours in person or via telehealth.
Primary School Students
Cathryne also provides therapy services at a North Lakes clinic for primary school aged children at the Child and Adolescent Development Service (CAADS). More information about this clinic, including their contact details can be found at www.caads.com.au
Appointments are offered on Thursdays. Intake is conducted by the team at CAADS.
